We built the Mazama Athletic (& Racquet) Club and Conference Center (whew ...) to serve multiple needs of our customers. Most of the time the MAC will be in use as an athletic and exercise facility. However, we have also designed it to serve the conference and meeting needs of our customers and the local community. The MAC also has a small kitchen for limited food and beverage hosting. Our full service restaurant is only a short walk away. See rates and policies below.

Workout Room mazama resort workout room
We have equipped the workout room with some exercise equipment that you normally see in athletic clubs and some equipment that may be new to you. We have a Stairmaster, a treadmill, free weights, incline/decline benches, and exercise mats; plus an Eliptical and Recumbent bicycle. We also have four "spinner" cycles, which offer a close simulation of true road cycling, and exercise balls for stretching and conditioning exercises. This equipment has been spec'd by several personal trainers who frequent the Mazama Country Inn and who consider it to be the ideal minimalist configuration for cardio and anaerobic exercise. We will help you to learn the equipment and design an exercise routine for you. And after your routine, you can use the showers and dressing area in the MAC. And not to be forgotten - a ping pong table (likely the most popular "exercise" equipment in our facility)

Squash Court Squash Court.
[ NOTE: Non Marking Shoes Required ]
We are confident that the MAC has the only squash court between Bellingham and Spokane. For those unfamiliar with the game, squash is similar to racquetball but it generally thought to be better exercise (and, we think, a better game). The court is a certified, championship-level court with a "sprung" (i.e. shock absorbent) floor designed to be easy on the knees. The Inn has racquets and balls to loan and the cheerful and helpful staff (yes .. I'm talking about George) would be more than happy to show you the basics.

Tennis Court.
With Goat Peak located due north and the entire upper valley open to view, this has got to be one of the most scenic tennis courts anywhere. The court was built in 2000 but sees only occasional use. It is the site, however, of several well known local tournaments, including “Slamarama” (a colorful, if not competent, display of tennis prowess). Bring your racquet and see if you’re in our league.
